GSMA MWC Mobile World Congress 2012. Barcelona hosts the GSMA in 2012 for the 7th consecutive year in 2012 from Monday 27 February 2012 to Thursday 1 March 2012 at the exhibition centre Fira Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain.
The MWC is recognised as the world's premier event for mobile industry networking, business opportunities, and deal-making. Congratulations to Barcelona for being chosen as Mobile World Capital for the 2012 to 2018 period of the MWC. Barcelona will not only host the Mobile World Congress (MWC) but will also become a permanent technological and cultural center which aims to boost and create new business opportunities and global awareness of the potential of mobile communications. 60.000 visitors attended in 2011 but more are expected in 2012. MCW reports 140 international ministerial delegations have confirmed their attendance in 2012.
